Using Wrist Relay
By using Wrist Relay, you agree to these terms and the Community Standards. Do not use the service if you disagree.
Do not rely on Wrist Relay for emergencies, medical care or safety-critical communication. Online features require connectivity and an available service.
Your account
You must be at least 13 and provide accurate eligibility information. A parent or guardian must approve use where applicable law requires it. An App Store age rating or permission to download does not replace this requirement.
Protect access to your account and devices. We may require an app update or restrict access while reviewing eligibility. Account deletion and support remain available.
Respect other people
Communicate only with people who agreed to connect with you. Do not harass, threaten, impersonate, exploit, defraud, spam or unlawfully monitor anyone.
Do not bypass usage controls, access another account without permission, distribute malware or disrupt the service. The Community Standards explain blocking, reporting and enforcement.
Wrist Relay does not record conversations. Follow applicable recording, consent and privacy laws if you use another device or service to record. See the Privacy Policy for how we handle information.
Talk allowances
Every plan—Free, Premium one-time purchase, and Plus subscription—allows up to its stated monthly talk limit. Plan & Usage shows the account’s limit, usage, remaining allowance and reset date. A purchase offer shows its price and benefits before you buy.
Minutes measure accepted metered transmission on the routes described below, not guaranteed delivery or proof that someone heard you. An allowance is not reserved server capacity. Access depends on connectivity, capacity, maintenance and service availability.
Allowances are shared across your devices, do not accumulate or roll over, and are not banked minutes or transferable credit. Buying, restoring or switching plans does not erase usage or add overlapping allowances together. Unused allowance has no separate cash value; applicable refund rights still apply.
Relay and TURN use talk minutes. Local friend speech uses the sender’s allowance unless that sender owns Premium; Plus alone does not grant this exemption. A Premium sender uses no local minutes even with a non-Premium friend. My Devices stays free locally for every account. Supported direct internet peer-to-peer connections use no minutes. The actual connection and the sender’s verified entitlement determine usage, not the route you hoped to use. Metered voice uses one allowance minute per minute sent. Metered Morse uses half that amount, including pauses within a transmission. Receiving, idle time, connection time, built-in cues, Premium local friend speech, My Devices local speech, supported direct internet peer-to-peer talking, Echo and Practice do not spend minutes. Reaching the limit stops further metered transmission until reset; there are no minute-overage charges.
We may use proportionate connection and transmission controls to address congestion, attacks or abuse. These are not an undisclosed lower monthly allowance for ordinary use and do not remove paid benefits.
Purchases and subscriptions
Apple handles checkout. The offer and Apple confirmation identify the price, features and allowance you are buying.
Premium is a one-time, non-expiring feature unlock, not a purchase of lifetime server hosting. It has no renewal. Features include free local friend speech for the Premium sender, additional cues, radio effects, flags and waveforms, favorites and quick access, the option to require a local connection, and sending and practicing Morse. Receiving Morse, explicit sound previews, LGBTQ+ Rainbow and Original colors do not require Premium.
Premium does not guarantee indefinite server operation or compatibility with future devices. Friend-to-friend local conversations still require cloud coordination. Any included server allowance remains subject to its stated maximum and service availability.
Plus is a subscription for the monthly talk limit shown in its offer. It renews automatically until canceled through Apple and does not include separately sold Premium features. Canceling stops renewal; access continues for the remainder of the verified paid period. Owning both does not add their limits together.
Use Restore Purchases with the owning Wrist Relay account and the Apple Account used to buy. Purchases and restores need connectivity; restoring does not refill minutes. A temporary verification failure does not by itself mean ownership has ended.
Verified refunds, revocations or subscription expiry can remove the affected benefits. Verified billing grace continues until its end date. Separately purchased Premium features do not require an active Plus subscription.
Deleting the app or account does not cancel billing. Manage or cancel subscriptions through Apple. Request refunds from Apple under its terms and applicable law, or contact support@wristrelay.com about missing access or service problems. Nothing here excludes mandatory consumer rights.
The app software is licensed under Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. These terms govern Wrist Relay’s account and online service and do not override applicable Apple purchase terms.
Safety and service availability
We may restrict or end access for abuse, security threats, unlawful conduct or material violations of these terms. You can block or report someone in the app and contact support about a restriction. Records may be preserved for safety review or as required by law.
The service is provided as available, with no guaranteed uptime, delivery, notification timing, audio quality or device compatibility. These limits do not remove our obligations under a purchase offer or applicable law.
To the extent permitted by law, Wrist Relay disclaims implied warranties and limits liability for indirect or consequential loss. Rights that the law does not allow us to exclude remain in effect.
Changes and leaving
We may change or discontinue the service or update these terms. We will give reasonable advance notice of material adverse changes through the app or website where practicable. Urgent security, legal or operational changes may require notice afterward. This page shows the effective date.
We will not retroactively reduce the advertised limit for an already-paid subscription period or turn a one-time feature purchase into a subscription. Changes to purchased benefits remain subject to notice, consent, refund and other consumer protections and Apple’s rules. Contact support about remedies if a paid service is discontinued or materially unavailable.
You can stop using Wrist Relay at any time. Choose Settings → Account → Delete account to remove account data as described in the Privacy Policy.
